SPECTRA XT LASER

  • PIGMENTATION/FRECKLES

SXT Ruvy Touch is a safety-proven new pigment removal treatment using a unique wavelength, 660 nm, that significantly reduces the possibility of having post-treatment side effects such as darkening of spots after laser (Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation).

1. How many sessions do I need to do? How frequent in between sessions?
DrD: Usually freckles (facial pigments) are easily removed within 2-5sessions and interval in between each session has to be at least 1 month apart.

2. Any downtime after this procedure?
DrD: Yes, you will expect red spots and scabbing, which usually recovers after 5 days. I would encourage you to use sunblock SPF 50 and post-laser recovery cream to speed up the healing.

3. Any side effects?
DrD: So long that it is being done correctly and safely, you will have no side effects like blisters or white spots (hypopigmentation)

4. Is this a painful procedure?
DrD: No, there is no pain at all after the application of numbing cream.

  • MELASMA

SXT Laser Toning removes or lightens the appearance of melasma as melanin and melanosomes in the skin are selectively destroyed by the laser energy. The clinical benefit has been proven over recent years in all different types of skin, and it is now even more effective with the new treatment mode of Spectra XT using its double- pulse technology.

In addition, Spectra XT laser has Quick Pulse to Pulse (Q-PTP) Technology which is tailored for pain-sensitive patients or those with thin and dry skin. When dealing with freckles/pigmentation, our laser therapy minimises potential side effects such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that usually occur as a result of inflammation (SAFE)

FOTONA Long-pulsed vascular laser lightens melasma by controlling the underlying rich blood supply to melasma.

FOTONA Erb:Yag laser lightens melasma by light to deep peel.

Frequently asked questions:

1. How many sessions do I need to do? How frequent in between sessions?
DrD: There is no cure for Melasma up to date, and it takes longer time to lighten melasma with laser therapy. You will see a more prominent lightening of melasma usually after 6-8 sessions and interval in between each treatment has to be at least 1 week apart with our own protocol.

2. Any downtime after this procedure?
DrD: There is no downtime redness or pain with this laser therapy alone. I would recommend you to use sunblock SPF 50 and to apply more moisturiser, as laser therapy can be dry to skin.

3. Any side effects?
DrD: So long that it is being done correctly and safely, you will have no side effects like blisters, rebound hyperpigmentation or white spots (hypopigmentation)

4. Any other treatments for Melasma?
DrD: Yes, if budget permits, I usually combine Q-switch laser with Long-pulsed/ERB:YAG Laser.

  • DULL SKIN/PORES REDUCTION/OILY & ACNE SKIN

SXT Carbon Laser 3 Steps Peel treatment is a laser procedure that uses a carbon layer as a photo-enhancer to improve the skin’s radiance and promotes a smooth and glowing complexion.

It is delivered by a state-of-the-art Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser Machine which sends short, rapid and high-intensity pulses of light. The combination of light pulses results in the maximal treatment of the skin lesions while preserving the surrounding skin.

Frequently asked questions:

1. How does it work?
Before performing the laser treatment, a layer of carbon lotion is applied on the entire face and allowed to dry over a few minutes. During the procedure, laser light is shot on the skin and is absorbed by the carbon lotion. Multiple tiny explosions of carbon particles release heat on the epidermal layer of skin, exfoliating the skin and removing any debris in the pores.

2. How many sessions do I need to do? How frequent in between sessions?
DrD: You will see results after each sessions, but usually I would recommend to do 6-8 sessions for more prominent results, and interval in between has to be 2 weeks apart.

3. Any downtime after this procedure?
DrD: There is no downtime redness or pain with this laser therapy alone. I would recommend you to use sunblock SPF 50 and to apply more moisturiser, as laser therapy can be dry to skin.

4. Any side effects?
DrD: So long that it is being done correctly and safely, you will have no side effects like blisters. Rarely, you may get mild heat rash if your skin is very sensitive.

5. Is this procedure painful?
DrD: There is no pain at all for this procedure.

SXT Revital treatment is an effective technique with an ideal wavelength to promote a good skin collagen remodelling effect.
