What is FOTONA-4D?
Fotona 4D is a series of synergistic, non-invasive laser treatments on both the exterior part of your face and the interior area of your oral cavity. How does it work?
Step 1 – SMOOTH mode is conducted from the inside of the mouth. This non-ablative laser provides a controlled and gentle “bulk-heating” to stimulate collagen contraction as well as the stimulation of new collagen fibers. The primary target during this step is the nasolabial folds, which get a nice plumping effect from the inside out.
Step 2 – FRAC3 Mode uses a fractional beam that targets deeper imperfections to restore a youthful texture and tone to the skin.
Step 3 – PIANO Mode is a safe and fast bulk tissue heating from the outside in by concentrating energy delivery subcutaneously. Bulk heating is used to tighten the skin more effectively.
Step 4 – SupErficial Mode is used lastly to improve the appearance of the skin and reduce imperfections with an extremely controlled light peel or skin resurfacing according to the skin condition. This gives the skin a smoother pearl finish, smoother skin texture, radiance, and even skin tone.

1. How long will it take to see results?
DrD: Results vary among individuals but most patients can see some immediate results after the 1st treatment. The end results can be visibly seen after 2-3months. Should you opt for more aggressive treatment, you may have redness on your face 1-2days thereafter.
2. What does the procedure feel like?
DrD: The experience may not be the same for everyone but generally a warm sensation will be felt by patients. For more aggressive treatments, you may feel a much hotter sensation around the treated area but the heat will dissipate quickly.
3. Does the procedure require any downtime?
DrD: No, the treatment is non-surgical and non-invasive.
4. How many sessions do I need?
DrD: If your age is above 40, our doctor recommends completing 3 sessions, to lasts up to 2 years. Subsequently, you can repeat 1 session every year as maintenance therapy.
5. How long is each session and what is the interval for each session?
DrD: Each session takes approximately 1.5hours, and interval in between each session should be at least 3-6weeks.
