Achieving Deep Skin Regeneration with Nucleofill Treatment
Using natural polynucleotides to reverse the effects of skin ageing

In today’s high stress work and living arrangements – coupled with the harmful effects of Singapore’s high sun exposure – it is no wonder that taking care of our skin is harder than ever. Dehydrated skin constantly under high oxidative stress can increase the effects of skin ageing despite our best efforts.
Today, we want to introduce the Nucleofill treatment, a procedure which has been clinically validated to achieve deep skin renewal and reconstruction through skin biostimulation. You may not be too familiar with this procedure, but we will break down its nuts and bolts for you in this article!
What is deep biostimulation all about?
Biostimulation involves the injection of natural substances into the skin, so as to counter the loss of skin elasticity and tension. These natural substances are high-viscosity polynucleotides that have aesthetically significant biochemical properties. Deep stimulation of the elastin and collagen production functions helps amplify naturally occurring processes, thereby kickstarting youthful skin regeneration. Through biostimulation, you can expect some of these benefits:
- Reducing loose and saggy skin around the neck, cheeks and eyebags
- Improve skin tone and elasticity through augmented collagen production
- Increase the hydration retention capacity of the skin
- Minimize the damaging effects caused by sun exposure
The mechanisms behind biostimulation are well-studied, but there are disparities between the specific treatment options on the market today. At Dr D Aesthetics Medical Clinic, we offer our clients the option of Nucleofill biostimulation because we believe the scientific efficacy and safety of this product is solidly established.
What is different about the Nucleofill biostimulation treatment?
Nucleofill is a CE-approved treatment option that has been regarded as “the new concept of skin bioregeneration”. It aims to achieve three outcomes through a single polynucleotide injection:
- Deep Moisturizing Effect. Nucleofill has strong moisturizing capacity that can be traced back to the polynucleotides’ ability to bind water molecules at the cellular level. The hydration retention effect of Nucleofill allows the skin to remain moisturized for long periods of time.
- Biostimulating Effect. Nucleofill’s polynucleotides are also designed to activate specific membrane receptors on fibroblasts, leading to increased collagen production which improves skin elasticity. Moreover, these polynucleotides are also involved in augmenting the myofibroblasts in the skin which provides a strong skin lifting effect.
- Antioxidant Effect. Nucleofill also acts as a radical scavenger by eliminating the occurrence of free radicals in the skin. Its strong antioxidant effects protect collagen fibers and the skin’s protective layers from being damaged.
After a few sessions, you may notice the skin becoming firmer and more moisturized. There will be visible improvements in the skin elasticity as well. Wrinkles may be smoothed out, while cheeks appear more plump. As with all biostimulation procedures, the results become more sustained through regular follow-up treatments.
What can I expect during a treatment session?
Nucleofill is administered via injection. After our aesthetics doctor confirms your eligibility for the procedure by checking contraindications and assessing your desired aesthetic outcomes, we will proceed with the treatment.
At Dr D Aesthetics Medical Clinic, we administer the Nucleofill treatment through a 10 point injection technique to increase efficacy and aesthetics outcomes. The 10 injection points target key tissues that are responsible for skin laxity and facial aging. Through this careful technique, we are able to increase collagen production, elastin and fibroblast synthesis, reduce skin inflammatory response, and improve skin elasticity, among other benefits.
Clients going through the Nucleofill treatment may experience some pain in the targeted areas. To alleviate some of this pain, we are able to apply topical numbing cream especially for clients who are more sensitive to pain. Nucleofill will then be injected into the target facial areas.
The exact number and location of injections depends on the desired effects. Regular follow-ups will be needed to ensure that the effects of Nucleofill remain sustained and long-lasting. It is recommended that Nucleofill injections be repeated regularly. Do check with our aesthetic doctor on the recommended schedule for your desired aesthetic outcomes.
What are the associated risks of Nucleofill – is it safe for me?
Nucleofill is suitable for most individuals seeking aesthetic treatments. However, at-risk individuals such as those suffering from cancers, skin infections or blood diseases should avoid Nucleofill. Our aesthetic doctors will carefully assess your eligibility on a case-by-case basis during a consultation.
Most patients experience the Nucleofill treatment with minimal or no pain at all. Nevertheless, a simple topical numbing cream would relieve any pain. It is normal to observe some light bruising and/or swelling at the injection sites, but they would naturally go away after some time. There is practically no downtime to this procedure, allowing you to immediately return to your daily activities.
